Adults & Teens
A vacation afloat is waiting for you, a blend of practicality and romance. Learn sailing, piloting, boat handling and the day-to-day demands of boat keeping, plus marine life identification or just read a book, listen to your favorite CD, and relax in a deck chair. Emphasis will be upon having a great time while enjoying the special relationships within a ship's crew. Teamwork and the satisfaction of helping to manage the schooner will contribute to a sense of accomplishment and enjoyment.
Attractions include one of the world's ten best beaches (National Geographic), quaint Loyalist settlements such as picture-book New Plymouth, Hopetown and Man-O-War. Fill your pockets with Sand Dollars on Tilloo Bank and visit the bronze sculpture studio in Little Harbor.
A summer camp for adults and teens. Learn the practical and theoretical aspects of seamanship and sailing with one on one expert instruction in snorkeling and marine life identification. Candidates will be instructed and expected to participate in the many experiences that live-aboard cruising entails such as helmsman ship, piloting, sail handling, small boat operation, knotting, and day to day maintenance. Cruise schedules are flexible and are available upon request. Special cruise dates are available for school break periods.

It was a GREAT experience!!!!!!!! I took our first crew to the Bahamas
through SeaBase in 1998. Ron had charted the Keewatin to SeaBase that summer.
Since then we have had two other crews sail with Ron on the Keewatin, chartering
directly with him. As Committee Chair I talk with all of our Eagle candidates
before signing off on their applications. Part of my discussion is to inquire
about the best and worst experiences in scouting. Our sailing high adventures
are always up at the top.
Private family charters can be arranged.
